ANOTHER TYRE SCAM!! How can these criminals keep getting away with this! 3rd Party Insurance rental car dropped off at Midnight and obviously car only checked next morning when no obvious damage was noted! After 6 weeks of rental car accepted back by Enterprise Swindon then 4 hours later phone call saying both front tyres have small cuts in them! Rubbish as these cuts were small and not seen by myself or Enterprise Swindon! Now chasing through debt collectors for £500!! Criminals and crooks that should be investigated by Consumer Watchdog or Government!! AVOID AVOID AVOID just look at all the negative reviews!!

I don't think I've come across a car hire company who bleed more money outta you than Enterprise! I hired a vehicle for what started as a week then extended for another week inc a weekend. The car was a standard vauxhall. The rates jumped from £73+ to £100+ per day. The cunning thing about Enterprise they don't tell you that if you extend the hire the rates get higher which is a down right rip off. I also informed the company by phone that I noted the brakes were screeching metal to metal. When I returned the vehicle there was no mention about the brakes from them, but instead the rep was busy looking for tiny stone chips on the sunscreen. Final hire bill £1500!!! For 2 wks hire So called loyalty member with over a year of hiring from them.Would you care to save money??? Better go look eleswhere

I booked a van for good Friday and when I turned up I was told they had no conformation of my booking even though I had a reference number which they disputed. I was eventually given a vehicle after waiting an hour that was not to standard and required a service the gearbox was very difficult and it kept jumping out of gear . The general attitude of the staff was poor even though I had been a long time customer. I do however have to mention Annabelle who was very helpful , unfortunately she is moving to another branch so i will no longer be using Enterprise Macclesfield. Very disappointed !!!!! Staff training required in my opinion.

Allow for at least wasting half a day arranging hiring a car. This company flood you with mountains of legal gobble de gook that virtually makes you liable for everything and anything. Then when picking the car up you get a long lecture on liability again and how you can off set it by paying out more and more and more. If wasn't provided by the insurers I would have walked away ! Then when handing it back they inspect it with a "FINE tooth comb include myriads of photos inside and out looking for more things to charge for. Any motoring charge / fine you receive is subject to a large Enterprise admin fee on top !

Quoted figure and only once sat in the vehicle with keys in my hand did she mention there was a £1000 excess on the window and a separate £1000 one for the bodywork. So if there was a sleight scratch which would cost £100 to repair they would still charge £1000. To reduce this to £100 they wanted an extra £75. Talk about upselling. That said, staff were engaging, polite and efficient.

Cheltenham Branch GL51The full £1000 excess has been retained for over 1 month for a small dent on the bumper which I was not aware of or did not notice on pick up. I find the policy of charging the excess immediately when it can be "locked" by the credit card company instead and be made available when the final damage costs a bit of a scam. Europcar charge when the damage is assessed and not prior. Shameful practice by Enterprise.

Don't buy when they say "about new rates may be applied" if you modify your booking during the same days new rates for your whole booking: I rented at car from day 2nd to the 16th for £390, and I want to modify it from the 10th to the 24th, so as you see one week still in this new arrangement. They even not apply new rate for just the days out of the original booking now, for the whole booking, so I would be refunded the original amount, but I have to pay £690!!!more than the double! It should apply if you do a booking in different complete days, different month or location, and should be said clearly anywhere, at least, during your booking process. I even asked what would happen if i just modify 2 days and they said the same will be applied. There is not clarify in any part during your booking process. It only says " you can modify, cancel" yes...ha! Of course you can, but you will pay for everything again. Customer service lady brilliant though,very friendly.

Very rude and aggressive workers. The lady called Komal & Man called Mitchell. Tried to scam me out of my hard earned money. I rented a car a week ago from this same branch from 2 employees called Richard & Lance, I had no problems at all. They were very helpful, friendly & made sure my needs where met. When I wanted to return the vehicle because I had made another booking the following week, I received a phone call from Mitchell encouraging me to extend my reservation because he claimed that the vehicle I had booked for my new booking is never out sourced. So I asked him why I wasn’t informed prior to the day of my new booking. He chose to ignore the question and continued on to have me extend the vehicle I already had. He told me the vehicle I had would cost more to extend and I told him the reason I had booked for a smaller vehicle was because it was cheaper & I only needed the vehicle to get to work. Then mitchell pretended to give me some kind of discount and told me that the total was £481 and I asked him does that include the £200 deposit fee. He said yes so I went ahead and agreed for him to charge my card. Then he hung up. Then after 5 mins I remembered that I forgot to ask him about my previous deposit and when I will get that refunded. So I called up again and asked and he was very agitated and aggressive on the phone and Told me he will send a contract out to my email & I should read it as he is unable to return my previous deposit then he abruptly hung up the call. After reading the contract I called up again because I have realised mitchell had over charged me by £200+ this time it was a lady on the phone called komal and she said that Mitchell is busy right now and that Mitchell had explained the situation and if I don’t like it I should bring back the vehicle now. She said this all whilst shouting down the phone at me,Really aggressively. I was absolutely gobsmacked. The way her & Mitchell behaved as if I should be privileged to rent a car from them. I was left speechless and almost cried because they knowingly scammed me out of £200+ And what could I do? I needed the car to get to work in the evening. It was such a shock to me because this is not the experience I had with the same branch the previous week from 2 employees Lance and Richard. After 3 days I returned the vehicle when I had some time off work because I did not want to continue paying that scam price that Komal and Mitchell had implicated.

I wanted to rent a van for one day £200 pound deposit and £250 van rental for the day. Which I said yes I'll rent the van please. But I was turned down because I don't have a credit card. Visa debit card is good for most things but not enterprise. Oh well guess my money isn't green enough

Always a poor company with no understanding of customer service, or Covid. Hired a van, was filthy, hadn't been cleaned. The operative who brought it round wore no mask or gloves and as part of the hiring process you have to sign their datapad, no wipes, no gloves, this company's employees are killing people, but first they rob them with spurious claims of damage, the usual, cut tiers (a favorite con of theirs), which they have so far failed to provide evidence of.

Picked up a van for hire yesterday returned it this morning.I am disgusted. I shall never use them again.You pay the rental price £79.00 but paid £99.00 as the excess would be £250 instead of £1000.00Paid £200.00 deposit which they took instantly When I returned the van I said I expected my deposit back instantly as they took it instantly. They informed me it would be my banks fault...What a load of bull s...tI said Ive work in pay role for years all you need to do is press the bloody button.Who the hell does that. I hire cars all the time in Spain and my deposit is instantly returned to my account. By the time I walk in the airport and go to a cash point it's there.Enterprise I'm travelling to Spain soon and need a van for 2 weeks i will not be using you. Of that you can be assured....

Hired a car from Oxford, Cowley Branch. They were brilliant from start to finish. Fern asked if I wanted the full insurance and Im glad she did because it meant that when I had a scrape I didn't have to worry. Enterprise and insurance company took care of everything and when I returned they were understanding and helpful. Would definitely recommend them as the car was great too. Professional, organised and great service.
